Hi,
Recently, I found out that the Place Category of multiple popular tourists locations in India has been changed to something irrelevant.
Here are some of those:
- Parsi Point - From Tourists Attraction to Bakery and Cake Shop
- Coakers Walk - From Tourists Attraction to College
- Aishwaryam Bakery And Sweets - The actual name off this place used to be “Sri Ram Temple”. Later, the name was changed and category changed from Hindu Temple to Bakery and Cake Shop.

For all the places one thing is common, the business has been claimed and later the Google Map Page is being used for publicity of the owners’ personal business which has nothing to do with the above mentioned places.

@DibyayanC , Tags can move out of the right place, tags can be duplicated by the right or wrong tags, tags can get the wrong Internet address, business closing messages can go through even though the business corresponding to the tag is running, etc. I saw all this in the work of the russian Google Maps. I saw ‘jokes’ mentioned by you in russian Maps as well and saw them many times.

Page has been renamed as Best tour guide in blue city jodhpur.

Update:
As of July 26, 2023 four out of five has been fixed. The following one is yet to be updated:
Aishwaryam Bakery And Sweets
Just now found another one.
Allarnath Temple Puri
Name changed to Allarnath Farmer Producer Company Limited
Category changed from Hindu Temple to Agricultural Service
As of August 2 all the issues mentioned above have been resolved.
