Nestled into a wooded area on a back road between Belton and Killeen is a modern, hip and funky fun pizzeria/brewery aptly named Fire Street Pizza or to us locals it’s FireStreet. It began as a pop up pizza food truck. Never knowing where it would be parked for the day we quickly grew to love their unique and delicious slices. After gaining much notoriety in our small town they broke ground on a wooded area to what has now become a fabulous fun hang out spot for the entire family. They offer IPA brews, wine and of course their fabulous pizza. The hours are different so be sure to make sure you go on an evening they are open. They host local trivia nights with prizes and laughs. If you are hungry be sure to jump in line because it quickly goes out the door to an hour wait. They have outdoor games, patio tables and lots of fenced in land for the kids to run around in. Here’s a secret you didn’t hear from me… if you are there enjoying your brew and don’t want to wait in line for the pizza… call in your order like take out and then enjoy your drinks until it’s time and you walk right in and pick it up. Some call it lazy, I call it brilliant.
