Does anyone have tips for snagging the pioneer badge? How do you find places that haven’t been added to the map yet since they will just add themselves? Similar question for the other two metrics: first review and first photo. How do you snag that kind of scoop?
Hello @Simeon_Snow Thanks for your interest to help the new businesses that not in the map or already added places on the map but have some missing information like opening hours, how the place is looks like, reviews etc. First of all when you visit the place physically you can manually check about the place on #GoogleMaps if you don’t find the place on there you can try to add them. But remember sometimes the places can’t be visible for there popularity or may added recently but not yet visible for everyone by random search. So what I do for avoiding creat duplicate places on map. 1.Check the place on maps carefully such as by typing the business name or tap the blue button to check from nearby places or type the name of the business name in different language like if the business name is in the signboard in local language I do try on English or if in English then local language. 2.When input the all information on maps but on submitting period the maps automatically suggest some places sometimes if the AI (Artificial intelligence) know about the similar places with similar or same information. Do you found there already the place has been created you shouldn’t apply for the same place again. For adding the first photos of the place or review you can follow the instructions that I explained before or you can also use the contribution section from map is called Uncover missing information where also you can find those places that need photo update or anything else…
