The people of Papua have such a rich culture. Talking about culture, certainly can not be separated from the traditions passed down from one generation to the next. One tradition that is still inherent in Papuan society until now is the tradition of chewing areca nut.
Papuans love chewing areca nuts because they strengthen teeth and gums. Not only that, they enjoyed areca nut because of its own sensation of taste. The sweet combination of acidity like the taste of toothpaste is the sensation of chewing betel nut. In fact, some people say that there is no food or other seasoning that tastes to match the areca nut. They consider areca nuts as opium, because if they don’t chew them, there is something missing in their lives. However, areca nut contains no harmful addictive substances.
unfortunately they often spit areca carelessly

Wah, buah pinang. Kalau di Papua yang dikunyah cuma buah pinangnya saja, Pak @Wisnusetiono ? Kalau di Jawa, kan, komplet. Dari pinang, daun sirih, kapur, dll.
