Dear Guys,
I always report photos that are not related to the location. I can’t stand these photos & they confuse people of course.
Worse, most of these wrong photos are being selected as the main/cover photo.
But Google Maps doesn’t take down the photos even if I have repeatedly & countlessly reported them.
Can you tell me what is the most effective way to take down these photos?
Sir @ErmesT you have always helped me in the past. Do you know what to do?
Thanks,
Ryan

I must agree and I am also very interested in the answer and reply from Google Maps.
Hello @Ryan13obadilla and @EinarPallS
I doubt if we will ever get a direct reply from Google or from any of it’s moderators about this in particular. All we can do as local guides is to report and keep reporting these wrong photos. I do that as well whenever I come across it. The spammers are always at work. I don’t know if ErmesT can also escalate the issue.
I had the same experience in the past whereby selfies are a cover photo of a POI. I wrote a post about Photos-violations-on-Google-maps here on connect about it. The responses were interesting, please have a look at the post if you like. It didn’t make it any better,it just made me understand better how things work. I got responses from very experienced local guides on the forum including ErmesT.
After flagging the photo as a local guide, the claims still needs to be verified and etc. I believe over time and others reporting it,it eventually goes private. My candid advise will be just report it and leave it at that. If it’s a claimed buisness or POI you can also approach them to take action using their GMB help option.
Happy guiding and thank you for being concerned
Cheers

I am also expecting a solution for these wrong photos which are not related to the locations. I also report to Google whenever I come across such photos.
