I am writing a series posts related to beautiful hiking places in the bay area. Hopefully it is useful to fellow local guides who are visiting San Jose and enthusiastic about hiking and enjoy the nature. Here is one more, Picchetti ranch open space reserve, again around 12 miles from downtown San Jose. Some of the pictures here taken in Zinfandel trail. There is a Winery called Picchetti here, hence the trail name Zinfandel. Trail is around 3.4 miles, we can see Stevens Creek Reservoir from the trail.
There is picnic area in Picchetti winery. Wine tasting costs $10, there is ample parking. It’s a nice place for parties as well.
Thanks a lot for sharing with us your photos from Picchetti Ranch Open Space Preserve. It looks so peaceful and I’m sure the air was fresh and clean I also enjoy hiking and I’m glad that with your series of stories you will offer us more amazing places for hikers.
@KatyaL The above pictures are taken with a Nikon D750 DSLR.
Regarding wines, I my self have not done tasting in this location. Probably because it is too close to home. We end up going to Napa Valley when we have visitors.
Thanks for your kind answer and for providing more details. Your photos are indeed very good!
I would like to let you know that I’ve just edited your post, as here on Connect sharing websites of a business place could be considered as advertising and this is not allowed according to the program rules. Please avoid sharing any websites of businesses on Connect. Thank you so much.
@KatyaL Thanks for the edit. Sorry a honest mistake, while trying to give you additional information. Will keep that in mind for future posts and replies.
