The good points of this resort are that the stunning view from the room and public area, the Breakfast is better than standard with a variety of Thai and International food, and the Friendly staff.
The minus point is that there may be some insects around the resort (but not in our room).
Tip: Make a merit in the morning by giving food to monks. (The monks came to the resort by riding the horses)
The monks will give you a sermon. Sorry that it’s in Thai, but the sermon is very nice.
Check more pictures of this resort from my YOUTUBE.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Is it your first visit there? What activities can tourists do around? Can you share a bit more information about the place and your experience while taking these photos I think it will be interesting for the other Local Guides.

I planned to stay there for 3days 2 nights, but unfortunately, I had to go back to Bangkok suddenly in the next morning because of an accident of my family in Bangkok.
I recommend to visit ChouiFong Tea house (6km from the resort) to try the desserts and green tea with a scenic view of tea field.
Besides Wat Rong Khun and Tham Luang Forest Park that are very popular for tourists, the other recommended place to visit is Doi Tung Royal Villa (19km from the resort). The Doi Tung is one of the project of the late Princess Mother, the mother of two Thai kings, for reforestation and livelihood development benefiting approx 11,000 people from 29 villages. Taste high quality aromatic Arabica Coffee from Cafe’DoiTung. Taste the traditional Northern dishes and fresh vegetables from the Project’s vegetable farm. Visit the Mae Fat Luang Garden.
For the tea, I love iced tea (with milk) from the Southern of Thailand the most! I have to try local iced tea every times I visit the Southern of Thailand.
For Boba tea which is very popular in Thailand, I personally like DAKASI brand which can be found in the malls in Bangkok.
It is so interesting to learn about Chiang Rai. When did you go there?
I visited Thailand in 2017 and had the chance to be in 4-5 places, but didn’t have the chance to go to this city.
One of the places that amazed me was a city called Pai. Have you ever been there? This city is very close to the border with Myanmar. I had a great experience visiting there.
I went to Chiang Rai October last year. It’s my first time in Chiang Rai. I accidentally went back to Bangkok so I had not visit any places yet, just the restaurant and cafe’ in Doi Tung.
I plan to go there again this year;)
I never been in Pai too, but I heard that it’s really beautiful. I wish to have more time in my next trip then I will visit Pai.
Pai is quite a beautiful area with many cute looking houses and as for the nature is almost untouched. I remember seeing there a butterfly as big as my hand.
Here is another photo I took at the entrance of Chiang Mai’s temple Doi Suthep.
When did you take a photo ofWat Phra That Doi Suthep? I just came back from ChiangMai last Sunday. I stayed only 1 night then I flied back to Bangkok so I had visit only Mon Chaem. That was so nice! I’ld like to spend more time in ChiangMai ><;
I have never been to Chiang Rai. From Bangkok to Chiang Rai with a bus, It takes probably about 13 hours. If you are going with the airplane, it takes about 2 hours. This is the reason I like to travel near Bangkok.
@CilineR You should post a beautiful photo from Chiang Rai. I am waiting to see a beautiful photo from you.
Thanks for tagging me. Most of Thai people do rice farming, It is famous in every province. But there are no popular rice fields. The province with the highest rice production is Suphanburi. I can share some photos from the rice field after harvest.
@TsekoV Lovely picture!! They are so cute. I believe that the elephants in farm are treated well.
Like @Aruni said, many provinces in Thailand grow the rice. Below is my photo taken from Napokae Learning Center in Phatthalung province, the Southern of Thailand. There’s shops, restaurant and cafe’ in the rice field. This photo taken in April 2018.
This kind of business is quite popular in Thailand nowaday. You can find many cafe’ and restaurants in the rice field like this in many provinces of Thailand. If I have a time to visit other places, I will post the photos
