Photowalk in Auckland city, New Zealand

Hi all local guides, I hope you are well and enjoy your weekend.

With new restriction on travel in Cambodia, it excited me to write articles more about traveling. It seems to me that we see light in the darkest time of Covid-19. I hope soon we will be able to travel for pleasure, let’s have a positive hope.

In my previous articles, I brought you to many cities in the world, included those in Australia, Cambodia, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam. Now, we are going to visit another city of New Zealand “Auckland”. It is more about sightseeing the city. Well, I love all the cities I visited as they always have interesting things if we look closely to them. In my previous post, I shared about places to visit in Auckland. Now, look at the places through my lens.

Let’s go now visiting some beautiful buildings :slightly_smiling_face:

Interesting Auckland University Old Arts Building (1923–6)

Above: I was standing at the waterfront of Auckland city, with Sky Tower at my back. The sky tower is 328 metres (1076 feet) tall

Above: photo of the Sky tower from another side of the city.

Auckland city has more population than other big cities in New Zealand. It has about 1.5millions in its urban areas.

Some statue in the park near Auckland townhall.

Street performer at the walking street on Queen Street, love it

Quite a famous street with beautiful trees near the university

The beautiful church in the middle of the city: St Paul’s Church memorials, one among ten beautiful churches in Auckland city. It was said that Bishop W.A. Averill laid the foundation stone on 20 July 1919. Acting Minister of Defense Gordon Coates unveiled the completed building on 28 March 1920.

Visit when it was closed, only got the door: Auckland War Memorial Museum Tāmaki Paenga Hira (1852)

Auckland town hall, view from side. The Town Hall opened its doors in 1911, and was fully restored in the mid 1990s.

These photos were taken in 2014-2015 during my stay there.

You are right, they are interesting @CAAG1959

As you can see - I get used to seeing buildings in Cambodia differently. So they also catch my attention to look at something so different yet interesting!
