I have shared the same photos in Google maps with local guides . I find Google maps duplicating the same…any clarification

Hi Ravichennai!

I’m very sorry that you are experiencing this. I kind of have the similar situation myself I usually go on google maps do my contributions add a picture but the picture doesn’t come on here… I though since it’s “Local Guides” Connect I thought it would add my pictures or reviews but nope just the points that’s okay with me but I hope that your duplicating situation gets resolved as soon as possible! Take care!

Hi @Ravichennai . There is a difference between contributing to Google Maps and Local Guides Connect. I’ll leave it up to one of the Moderators to give a clear explanation as I don’t want to give you incorrect information.

Hi @Ravichennai

Sometimes on your profile, on the “photos” tab, your photo may appear as duplicate. I have experienced, and already reported, this issue. Before to remove the duplicate please open the business listing, to see if the photo is really duplicate. Otherwise you may delete your contribution.

I think my query is not understood correctly . What I was trying saying is that I once posted pictures in Google maps and earned points. Subsequently I posted the same pictures with write up in local guides as well. I am surprised to note that whatever the pictures I posted in local guides are once again repeated in Google maps. Hope I have made myself clear.

There is no relation between the picture you post on Local Guides Connect, and what you add in Google Maps, @Ravichennai ,

I can confirm this.

Can you show us a screenshot, for better understanding your concern?

Can you also add here a picture that you didn’t added in Google maps? You will see that the picture will not added in Maps from Connect
