Photos set expectations for ordinary places

The photos on my phone are odd. As a Local Guide, it’s not unusual for me to have shots of doctor’s office waiting rooms, Bureau of Motor Vehicles offices, and shopping center parking lots.

When I go to a business for the first time, I want to know what to expect, and I’m sure others who use Google Maps do too. Am I going to have to wait? If so, is there plenty of seating, or should I expect to stand? Is parking nearby, or should I be prepared for a long walk? A clear photo that shows what a visitor may encounter is a valuable contribution.

I would love to hear about or, even better, see some of the brilliantly ordinary photos my fellow Local Guides have posted on Google. I didn’t take the photo attached to this post, but it captures the idea.Caption: A photo of cafe tables, chairs, and coffee cups at an outdoor cafe in Paris, France.(500px)
