Photos of metal, concrete, wooden structures.

Hi fellows!

Today I devoted a day to a photowalk.

Some people think that I am good at photographs of various metal structures.

So today I want to share some interesting photos of metal, concrete, wooden structures.

The next photos I have planned to shot, closely following the construction process of metal structures. The question is - what do you think what it is? What is the purpose of these structures?

I will be happy to listen to the reaction of @KarenVChin @ErmesT and all others fellows as well!

From Russia with , Sergey

Thanks for your attention, don’t forget to push on  if you like my post here.

Hehe @SergeySud

I agree, “Some people think that I am good at photographs of various metal structures”. I am one of them. It would be great if you share the location too ?

I love the photos of the structure over the bike path. What is the function? To protect from the high voltage cables, in case of an accident?

A few weeks ago I have been in Paris. What really surprised me was l’Esplanade de la Defense, where they built a lot of new building, included the Grand Arc.

I love the metal frames structure, so I am really happy in reading your post - Here below: Tour D2

Thanks @ErmesT !

You right - those structures over the bike path are to protect people from the high voltage cables, in case of an accident. They had to install quite a lot. In this place, several high-voltage lines with a voltage of 110, 220, and 330 thousand Volts pass at once!

This is location https://goo.gl/maps/yd5hyJohUe9Srt5Q7.The bike path has no name, so it’s can’t be mentioned on Maps as a POI.

P.S. I love your photos! It always has a story!

@SergeySud - I was thinking that the structures were built around the bike path (can it also be used for walkers /runners too?) for shade or wind protection too?

Cheers,

Hi @KarenVChin ,

You’re right, the red path is for runners, paved by layer made from small colored rubber pieces. Is cool “green” technology - it’s made from crushed used tires.

The structures are just a steel beams, so it’s can’t protect from wind or sun  The only function is protecting from high voltage cables above, in case of accident. I just checked, according my information, one of the lines crossing the path is a half million volt!
