Just seeing if anyone else is experiencing an extreme delay in photos not being uploaded. Posted many earlier, all ok. Posted about 12 of them 3 hours ago. No sign of them anywhere.

they are uploaded, but the verification process takes much longer. It started about 2 weeks ago. Have a look here: All photos posted since yesterday marked with "Not posted"
However, for me, it was always less than an hour …
I uploaded 4 videos recently. It took about 2 days for them to be approved.
Here in Europe, pending media are greyed out on our photo contribution list. If you open the show details, there is a cryptic 2-line message that means Google is working on it.

Ich habe gestern Abend 2 Bilder und 1 Video hinzugefĂĽgt.
Die Bilder sind ganz verschwunden und das Video ist mit einem Dreieck gekennzeichnet.
DafĂĽr wurden aber mehrere StraĂźen genehmigt.
An anderen Tagen werden Bilder sofort ohne Verzögerung angezeigt. @StevenBerlin
This has been discussed several times here in Connect, @StevenBerlin , and seems to be the new standard.
Not only that, for the same contribution, the messages changes over time until it was finally approved (or not and stays hidden) … just to confuse everybody 
Seems it is no longer instant @StevenBerlin. I see a very short delay, with videos taking a bit longer than photos. Just ninutes though, not the 3 hours you’re experiencing.
@ErmesT @MortenCopenhagen @WilfriedB et al. Thx all for replying. I am not sure what Mort means by click details. It’s been about 12 hours and nothing yet. I did post 2 others just to test, and they approved instantly
Hi @StevenBerlin, for photos or videos taken in Europe, we have the privilege to get informed with the famous triangle, whenever media is not published. Only at that point, we can “click details”. It doesn’t apply to photos taken in your part of the world.

I think that was 2 days approx. in time. shrug. however, I believe they are public, but they are NOT listed under the ALL photos (none of them), and there is no LATEST photos category. So, in a case like this where they are not even listed under the business, is this worth deleting them, then reposting. I kind of remember people saying NOT to do that. But I believe these photos will never be seen lol. Let me know thoughts.
I took the liberty of sharing one of the photos since i think the business only has like 6 photos total and you can tell me if you SEE mine (public) under the contribution list, then LOOK to find it under the ALL tab. sorry if this is work for you, but i think its important to figure out what’s going on with these photos. ok after doing this, and I did it from my computer, not android, I cannot find out how to actually click on the business from here. I have no idea how you guys use the computer for maps. I am not sure i will ever use my computer again to make a post or do anything in google maps. sorry for the long post. This is horrible. Spent 20 min on this. on my android, this would have taken 1 minute. sigh.
This link led me to your whole contributions list, @StevenBerlin. I assume you’re talking about Fabletics. There are two photos there by you, and they’re also listed under Latest.

OK, this makes it crystal clear. I shall never ever ever us my computer to do google maps!!! This link should go to Everything but Water. Big shrug.
@MortenCopenhagen my link didn’t work cause I used my computer to link it. It was everything but water. I posted this to @tony_b as a reply from my android.
However, I decided to try a major crop and upload another image to see if it goes up right away or has another issue.
I believe you need to open an image in full screen mode before sharing the image. Then the link will survive when shared to other platforms as discussed here.
I don’t agree with you. There are so many things I do on Maps that I’d NEVER do on my phone.
Anyway, now that you clarified the image was of “Everything But Water”, I confirm that you have two public images, and one is also visible under the Latest tab.
@tony_b thx for checking. They finally came through i believe under the ALL tab, and then it added a LATEST tab lol. I have 3 photos published. Do you only see two? Or do you see 3 now total but me. Thx again
I see three now under All, and just two under Latest. Definitely a built-in delay in the process now.
Same here @tony_b and @StevenBerlin: I only use my phone, when i am forced to! Either, if two factor authorization requires it or being at a place, I cannot carry a laptop. The tiny display and missing keyboard is a big handicap.
@tony_b @WilfriedB I guess there is no wrong or right. Whatever is best or easiest. I am the opposite. I cannot even imagine anymore using my computer to do anything maps. To me its 10x or even more faster do anything on a phone. Snap, upload. Done. Lol, the only thing faster i have seen is data entry into that T100 system Adam designed. But that is not part of maps. W/e. The saying to each their own is relevant here. I judge nothing.
