I have posted two photos: one for the Parthenon, Athen, and one for Alhambra. Both have dozens of favorites and 7-8 million views. But both are marked Not Posted, It’s said not follow Google’s policies. I read the policies in detail and I really don’t understand how my photos could violate the policies. I am not sure whether it’s reported by some other viewers or Google AI. I hope Google can give an explanation.
BTW, here are two photos. The Parthenon photo was taken 3 years ago and it’s shown for a few weeks after it’s posted. Alhambra was taken a few months ago and shown for 2 weeks or less and then it’s flagged as inappropriate. It’s not even a review and just a photo of a landmark. How could it be inappropriate and violate Google map policies?
Google, can you please give an explanation on whether it’s an AI issue or not?
U zadnja tri mjeseca stalno me prati taj problem.
Thanks, @renata1 for your reply.
What a coincidence - you are from Croatia and I will go to Croatia next Monday for 3 weeks
The thing is one of my photos was posted and shown 3 years ago and a week ago it was flagged as a violation.
I don’t understand how Google Map AI works.
I hope it won’t happen when I post beautiful Croatia photos.
I fly from the US to Zagreb. This is my first time to visit Croatia. Will go to Istria, Plitvice Lake, Dalmatian Coast (Hvar & Korcula), and, of course, Dubrovnik. All ‘usual’ places I will take buses, ferries, and a tour of Istria Hill Towns. The thing I am concerned about is the ferry might be canceled because of the weather, which I just know a few days ago. Very excited about the trip to a beautiful country
I have the same problem as well. A few years ago my account was incorrectly suspended… the google moderators rightly reactivated my account but all my reviews and photos before that still don’t post properly for the public. I to have popular photos, one of Palace of Versailles with over 5 millions views that is still showing as “not posted”. So frustrating when one spends so much time on creating appealing and helpful content! I hope we can all find a solution to our problem… but I have a feeling those photos are lost :o( Sincerely, Derek
@stewartprints When I clicked the photo, I got the following message. I think Google messed up the data. Have you tried to repost?

thanks for the replay… yeah I’ve tried to re-post the review several times and I also added captions to the photos that were not posted, but no change. Weird thing is I can view those photos on ios devices but not on my computer. The actually photos says no user info when I’m logged in using a web browser. I also saw my profile was showing 200+ reviews… but I have 500+ so there is definitely a bug somewhere. :o(
I came here as I just noticed the same on my site. I have some photos I posted. The “regular ones”, snapped quickly, of food or place, are still ok. But the ones a bit more “artsy”, while still just showing off the landmark/place, got removed after being on for months.
And seems like no way to put them back for review or something. Very annoying.
