Photos Not Available to Upload to Maps.

Every since I upgraded my phone, although location is on and the photos all upload to Google Photos OK, when i go to contribute to Google Maps none of my new photos are available to add, old ones from my old phone are still there but none of the new ones, I’ve checked and all have a location.

Any suggestions how I get my recent photos onto Maps?

Hi @ChrisLowe

With the upgrade of the phone, have you also changed the setting of Google Maps app back to default?

Please check:

Setting > Personal Contents > Chronology >Show your photos on chronology

and

Setting > Your Contributions > Add your photos

and

Setting > Your Contributions > Notifications of photos for publication

OK where are those settings?

Welcome back, @ChrisLowe

On Google Maps app, tap on the hamburger menu on the top right LEFT corner, then scroll down to “settings”.

From settings, follow my previous indications

That would be why I can’t find those settings, as I don’t have a hamburger menu top right in either the android app or windows, I have the menu top left but no setting option in there.

Yes you are right @ChrisLowe . Wrong typing. Sorry about that.

The Hamburger Menu is on the top left :frowning:

To find the setting you have to scroll it down, near to “get help” and “send a feedback”

I found and checked this setting: Setting > Personal Contents > Chronology >Show your photos on chronology

But these are not in my menu at all.

Setting > Your Contributions > Add your photos

and

Setting > Your Contributions > Notifications of photos for publication

Yes @ChrisLowe , my bad.

The correct path is:

Setting > Notifications > Your Contributions > Add your photos

Setting > Notifications > Your Contributions > Notification on photos for pubblications

There are more and more setting in there, that you may find interesting, for immproving your way of contributing
