I’ve noticed that some of my images dont appear in Maps after the upload, most of them do but some don’t. Just wondering if there is a reason for this?

This question has been answered a lot previously.
There might be for many reasons. Google Maps system has auto filter which prevents from visibility of some photos (Same is also for reviews). Some reasons are:
Duplicate photo
Photo on wrong place
Strongly edited (photoshoped) photo
Photo contains faces of people or car numbers (due to privacy concerns)
Badly watermarked photo (big watermark, contact info, …)
Low quality photo
These are main reasons.
So if your photo doesn’t fit with any of above reasons then wait some days and let system process your photo more. Maybe it will be visible after some days. If the problem still exists then it means that the photo can not pass system auto-filter and you should upload another photo.
Besides this if you think that photo still express the place most accurately, you can ask one Googlers in LGC or one product expert in Google Maps forum to help you for making your photo visible.
And finally if you’re owner of a business by verifying it, in GMB panel you can upload each photo that you prefer.
