I have added about 600+ photos in 150+ places and I have got about 300000 views and local guide level 7. For about a month, I noticed my photos are not getting views that was a drastic change because my photos used to get a lot of views, and my total photo views used to increase 10k per day.
Today I found out that my photos are not appearing in the places I had added them. That was the reason why my views stopped increasing. I recently started taking lof of photos of the places and used to add them and that might be the reason my profile could be flagged or photos marked blocked by google. Just an assumption I can’t say for sure. Could also be a bug in maps or just in my google account. If anybody has faced this issue please provide some help.

Thanks for reaching out to us! I noticed that none of your photos is visible in your profile. If you didn’t mark them as private yourself by mistake, that could mean that they were violating our Maps User Contributed Content Policies.
To check whether your photos are public, you can follow the instructions you find here, in the paragraph “Restrict the photos in your profile”.

You are not alone. For 2-3 months Google has been actively hiding all photos (and/or reviews) of local guides that are violating the many guidelines.
So you will need to criticality review all your photos and delete all those that are not helpful to Maps users or violate one or more of the guidelines.

I’m glad to see I’m not alone in “losing” photo contributions that were once viewable. Are you able to see your photos for the locations you’ve added to in the photo tab labeled “By You” ? Mine are, which led me to believe they’re not deleted (for breaking any guidelines) but hidden for some reason / error / bug.
My photos were helpful to people and was getting healthy amount of views 10k + daily. how could they be violating the terms. this is bad. if they are removed google should have at least informed me that it’s violation dn howcome they are appearing in my profile and from another device they do not appear in the place. this is weird thing. ugg.
hi, how could this be possible that all of my 600+ photos are violating the terms. and all of them are removed by google? i might agree if some of them are violating and are hidden but howcome all of them are hidden? and howcome google maps didn’t send me any removal notice or anything that my photos are removed or my profile is blocked. even the chat executives of google one can’t check what is wrong with my profile they say everything is normal. ???

It certainly would be polite if Google would inform us when our photos get hidden. But they don’t.
Sometimes they flag all the photos even though only some are violating the guidelines.
Normally photos are made private so only you can see them. Deleting photos rarely happens. Marking them private leaves you with a chance to review them for violations if the guidelines mentioned above.
