Photography and Biking - The beauty that is Montreal...

When I came to Montreal I never realized that it was an island. It was thousand miles away from Altantic Ocean and yet it would not be surprising to see ocean going vessels (including cruise ship) docking in the Old Port of Montreal. But that would be a topic of another day.

What I want to discuss is photography and biking. Montreal has more or less 350 kms of bike path that traverse the island. You can literally go anywhere in the island using the network of bike path. When I bike I took photographs of places I have been to. Today I would like to share some the photos I took of churches in Montreal… as the old adage say “picture is worth a thousand words”…enjoy…

These first set of photos is taken from the Cathedral of Marie-Reine-du-Monde and exact replica of the Sistine Chapel in Rome.

The next photo is the Cathedral of Notre Dame…a replica of the same namesake cathedral in the Paris that just get burned down recently… I will share the inside of the cathedral in another blog.

The next is the St Patrick Church…

@TravellerG Thanks for the info.

On the Cathedral of Marie-Reine-du-Monde I used Canon 20D Camera with 70-200 mm lens.

On the St Patrick Church I used the same Camera body with 18-55 mm lens.

In the next postings I will provide more details about the focal openings.
