Photographs to tell stories and memories

This was a photo taken last January 2, 2020 with my friends in the famous beach we had back in my home province – Buntod Reed Marine Sanctuary. For most of my photos, I use Samsung Galaxy S9+ and recently I slightly enhance photos in Adobe Lightroom for more vivid photos. As I have been engaged with photography for a while now, this photo is one of the product of hard work and practice photos I had been through by not only being a photojournalist but as a local guide also.

The photo portrays lively friends out for a vacation to unwind away from the city. Yes, it is very difficult for some to capture high definition moving object in a photo and my friends was very happy about the outcome of the photo because we only had two trial jumps for a jump shot photo. As I have said, I used my phone camera capturing this and it was also a part of me, to adventure how far can the feature of Samsung S9+ camera goes and so far I have been really happy about the materials I have just by using my S9+.

In this photo, the emphasis for this is the environment and background of the beach which would one want to go, wonder and would also like to have a photo taken with the kind of scenery the photo has portrayed. I also wanted to have the viewers the impression to get them to be curious of the place/beach/area through the photo. Viewers especially those who are very adventurous will definitely find a photo such as this enticing and will search about the place tagged as soon as they saw this.

In the journey of me, myself, my camera and lenses – yes it is very important to have a good photo but what is much more enticing for viewers is if they are attracted and engaged with the photo. Therefore, having a scenery, story behind each photo is an element I have always maintained as much as possible in taking photographs because as everybody says – “Photographs are the great holder of memories”.
