But this, Its really frustrating! I am not getting any views on my recent photos. Also all my views on my top photos are stuck at the same count for more than 4-6 months now.
I will start deleting all my photos and stop contributing if this is not solved. I am losing my patience.

Google Local Guides is and can only can be as „Strong“ as its weakest link . . .“ or in this case: Linksss
It’s always always the top management that is responsible for hiring the next level.
So here the „Chain of Command“ is obviously the Weakest link(s); not the peeps we are communicating to; not with . . .
It got really bad several years ago and I quit. 2019 I started driving Uber/Lyft in Los Angeles and sooo many apartment buildings Adresse Markers where closer to the alley then the street and they were all complaining about all the Food delivery and Ride share Services issues.
Stupid me I started fixing them on the spot with them in disbelief how simple the fix is.
Many reported the problem to Google/Uber/Doordash etc w/o any response.
I ended up doing 10 fixes out of 30 rides a night, often taking screenshots and fixing entire blocks/Apartment complexes later.
Now it’s frustrating again and I quitt for good and do something with TESLA. Oh, I’m turning 60 this year so 0 B/S for meee. Hahaha

But why do you find this situation frustrating? We are not participating in any competition, we are here to share experiences and emotions. Of course, the problem is present and well known, and the Google Team is aware of it and is working to resolve the situation as soon as possible. Sooner or later everything will return to normal.
In the meantime, take the time to improve and correct your profile photos on Maps: there are a lot of duplicate photos and uploaded to multiple places, which is against the terms of both Google Maps and the LocalGuide program. Aim for the quality of the photos rather than the quantity, you will get much more satisfaction over time and you will not feel frustrated when some problem occurs on Google Maps!

The teams include the Local Guides Team are practicing complete radio silence on this matter despite repeated pleas for clarification and fix of this issue. Not communicating is creating a level of distrust, dispair, frustrations, and demotivation among many of the most engaged volunteers. Including yours truly.
I wish I knew how to make Google realise the negative impact this has on the volunteers and the our engagement.
I know that the Local Guides Team is well aware of the situation, so it must be higher up in the hiracy that the decision to disregard the volunteers was made. The excuse that the bug is difficult to fix is no longer valid as we have seen no progress for months now.
From other difficult bugs we were able to create the nessesary sense of urgency higher up by involving the media.

@TravellerG I am facing this from around February 2024. Many of my new photos has Zero views and when I do a takeout I get views in the backend.
Same with the old photos, even being the top photo, it still has the views frozen to death
I understand your frustration and desperateness, dear fellow LG @SreeramNattath .
There are multiple reasons for keeping our photos or reviews private & hence it won’t be visible to public; one important reason is ourselves - there are many guidelines and rules which Google Maps has tightened in the past few months.
So, like my friend David suggested, read the rules properly and adhere to that - one example is duplicate or similar looking photos - remove all UNWANTED PHOTOS - that is, which are not useful for a person looking at that destination.
Then you may use the appeal form and report…
Once your profile is as per Google guidelines, tag me, I shall send the Google Form (Account Investigation Form) to you.

Do you mean that I am blocked or blacklisted due to policy infringement like uploading duplicates, etc?

The issue is ongoing. It has improved & a post came out stating that views would be counted differently. HERE is a timeline of actions. It’s very very frustrating for many of us.
As for you being blocked/blacklisted - about 10% of your photos/videos are hidden. It could be for policy violations, POIs closing, or general moderation. 15k photos/videos is a LOT to sort through, but I do agree with the others who suggest you spend the time to trim down your submissions to a couple per POI.
@davidhyno I don’t know about you or others, but i do it in a competitive spirit. It always about the numbers and google also knows about it.
why does google send mails like

They know that these numbers are the real motivation. Your records this week
And even the above views are not correct. They are frozen from many months now. How do you feel when you get 500 marks but people come and say congrants for getting 300 marks. Don’t you say them that its 500 marks actually.
Anyways I am going to delete most of my photos. Before google used to give free google one and other gifts because they need local guides but now they have plenty so they don’t care about us.
