Photo upload dialog issues / Cannot upload

Using a Chrome browser with my Gmail account, I am not able to upload photos anymore. Normally you would get a dialog window where you can drag&drop photos, or select from the device. Instead, I am asked to log in with this messages “To select files, you need to sign in to your Google account.”. I am already logged in and it does not work.

I tried with a different (business account) and there it works. In Firefox web browser is works also. So what can be the issue with Chrome?

Update:
It’s due to the Bitdefender Anti-tracker browser extension.

Are you on a phone/tablet or a desktop?

Please, try Clear cache & cookies, if you have not already done so. The link has step-by-step instructions for Android, IOS, and Desktop. Just select the relevant tab at the top.

Also, please log out of your Local Guides account and log back in, and update your Google Maps app if necessary and you are on a Mobile device.

It’s on desktop, Windows 10 Home, and the latest Chrome web browser. I did clear caches and cookies. In Firefox it works.

But I have just figured out the issue. It’s due to the Bitdefender Anti-tracker browser extension.

I can confirm the issue, on desktop with Chrome browser only.

For this reason I am tagging @DeniGu here.

Clearing cache doesn’t work, and I have the same issues on more than one desktop computer (in all the desktop computer I am using).

The issue is appearing randomly, sometimes it disappears then it appears again after a day.

So I am frequently switching on Firefox too to contribute from desktop
