Photo Tips - Solution for the Limit of 1,000 Photos in Connect - TravellerG

dear all,

…How to Overcome the Limit of 1,000 Photos in LG Connect?..

(Answer to question, I have received)

All of us know that we have a limit of 1,000 Photos in LG Connect, which worries many of us – is it NOT? This scares many LGs to limit the posting of good photos in Connect – right?. Some people think that we can delete the old photos; this is wrong! Because, after deleting an old photo, all the POSTS, where you have used the photo will have a blank space and an ‘Ugly’ MINUS Mark.

Here is a method (just 3 Steps) to Publish any number of photos in LG Connect posts.

It is a very SIMPLE! & straight forward method – No HTML knowledge is needed!!! Let us make our LG Connect more active!

How To POST HIGH QUALITY PHOTOS in LG Connect, without affecting the LIMIT of 1,000 photos:

Step -1 – Upload to Google Photos.

  • Once you capture your Photo in Mobile or Camera, upload all the needed photos to ‘Google Photos’ (Drag & Drop)
  • Upload these Photos to Shared Album (Important Step). (View the Photo)

In Google Photos, we have two options:

  1. ‘Album’ which is private and will not be visible to others.
  2. “Shared Album” which can be made visible to others (use this to upload).

If you already have a ‘Shared Album’, then upload your photos to this shared album. If you do not have a shared album, then, use the ‘Create New’ option to create a ‘Shared Album’. (Ref the photo No: 1)

Step -2 – Copy the Photo.

When you open the Shared Album (in Google Photos), you will find the ‘Thumbnails’ of photos, you uploaded. Now, ‘Left Click’ the mouse on the Thumbnail you want to publish. The photo will get enlarged to show the full details, in full size.

IMPORTANT:

  1. DO not right click on the Thumbnail (the menu options are different).
  2. If your internet connection is slow, wait till the photo is fully loaded & clear/sharp. Then ‘Right Click’ the mouse on the photo; the following menu becomes visible. Choose/click the ‘Copy image’ (3rd) option. (Ref to Photo No: 2)

Step-3 – Paste it in the Connect Post.

Prepare your Post in LG Connect and bring/keep your ‘Cursor’ where you want the photo to appear. Then ‘Paste’ the copied Photo from Google Photos (Control + V or right click the mouse & use Paste option). The photo will appear on Connect Post, as shown below… Simple… OK…

Note: Photos, published using this method will not be counted in the limit of 1,000 numbers.

No: 1 Create New "Shared Album"in Google Photos

REF: Photo: 2. Copy Image from Google Photo (from Shared Album, from fully enlarged (not thumbnail) Photo)

Quality: Photos with, up to 16 Megapixel will not have any quality change {Details of quality will be published in the Next Post}

Our responsibility: Using the appropriate number of Photos per post is the moral responsibility of each of us. Using too many photos in a post will delay the loading of the post, and also tend the readers to discard your post.

Hope this will help many of you; if you have any questions, please let me know, by Tagging me. Request you all to share this information with other LGs to help them.

Post 2/2 will give File compression details & other recommendations.

Note: If you find this as a real solution, then kindly consider to 'Mark as ‘Solution’ in Connect - thanks.

Thank you for commenting again @TravellerG .

The absence of photo unlimitation and automatic resizing function is a reason to keep people away.

Hi, @TravellerG

I’m using this technique for most posts now. Currently, this is a crucial tip to continue posting. Especially for the people who love posting photos like you:-)

By the way, I use at least one uploaded photo for the top one because it is used as a thumbnail of the post.
And I use collage photos well. It decreases the number of linked photos.

I hope someday we can directly import photos from Google Photos to the LGC.

hi dear @HiroyukiTakisawa

  1. …“I’m using this technique …” Happy to note that.
  2. “…I use at least one uploaded photo for the top one because it is used as a thumbnail of the post…” this is surely not needed - because, which ever is the first photo of your post, it will appear as the “COVER PHOTO” of your post. Do not load separately.

Hi, @TravellerG ,

Yeah, you’re right.

2 is just in case. If the specification of LGC may change in the future, but at least uploaded photos will be not deleted.

And I just want to respect the function of the provided system as much as possible:-)
