Photo taken in moving vehicle

Nature is very beautiful and we are fascinated by the beauty of that nature. We run far and wide to enjoy the beauty of nature. We went to different places and are impressed by the beautiful nature of different places.

I also love nature. I am also fascinated by the wonderful beauty of nature and enjoy that beauty. Today I would like to share with all of you some pictures of the beautiful nature which I have taken.

Today’s pictures are little different. I took these pictures while riding moving vehicle. First let me give a little description of that vehicle.

The vehicle is three wheelers. We call it Auto-rickshaw. It is very famous vehicle in our West Bengal. Almost everyone rides this vehicle. This vehicle is very good for short distance travel. Everyone uses this three wheelers to travel short distances.

I went to my relative’s home. My relative’s home is not far from my home. I went there riding this vehicle. I took the photos on the way back from relative’s home.

I took the photos suddenly. I didn’t plan to take the pictures in advance. While coming by Auto-rickshaw, I saw that the nature and the sky were looking very beautiful. Then I decided to take some photos of such beautiful nature. I took the photos with little risk. I took the photos sitting in the moving vehicle.

You can understand if you look closely at the above photos. Notice the green leaves. The leaves are hazy because the photos have been taken in a moving vehicle.

It’s a bit difficult to take a good photo in a moving vehicle. The vehicle is open all around so the entire nature scene is being captured on camera. I got this advantage. I also got another advantage. It is that this vehicle doesn’t go as fast as four wheelers. I took this advantage. I also took photos when the street was slightly become traffic jam or the vehicle was stopped for a short time for some other reason. I got these opportunities to take photos. I was able to take these photos taking all these facilities.

Notice in the right corner of the picture you can see a part of the vehicle

These photos were taken while the vehicle was stopped for a short period of time.

At this time it is monsoon season in West Bengal so you can see thick clouds in the sky. These thick clouds make the sky absolutely beautiful. Sometimes, if there are few clouds, the rays of the sun can be seen in those few clouds.

The pictures were taken at Chapra, Nadia, West Bengal, In India. I took these photos around 4 pm.

Nice to know that you can paint terrain and nature. I’m not that good at painting but I love seeing others paintings.

Best wishes from India

Hi @Tandrima2

Such photos should not be uploaded to Google Maps. One of the guidelines says: photos should clearly show the place. None of the photos you shared here are clearly showing a place that is entitled to a pin we can upload photos to.

Taking photos for Google Maps from a moving vehicle is generally not a good idea.

Do you agree?

Cheers

These photos included at Chapra, In West Bengal which I have added to the location. In these photos no specific place is visible and the street images are visible. That’s why I have included it in the photography topic. I don’t add it in travel or another topic.

I think that in photography topic can be posted photos of any topic. Everyone posts photos of animals, birds, flowers, sky. On that basis I have posted these photos in the photography topic. I have not mentioned about any place in the description of this photos. I have mentioned my photography experience. Because in this photography topic has to mention the experience of taking photos of any place.

However I am saying that these are some photos of a place which I have marked on the map location. These photos were taken at Chapara, West Bengal, in India. Of course the photos show the street scene but they belong to Chapra.

Posting photos on Google Maps is different from posting photos here on Connect.

It is unclear to me if you posted these photos on Google Maps also or just here on Connect?

We need to be careful because other Local Guides might think it is okay to post a photo on Maps if it is posted Connect.

I looked at your public photo contribution list. You are violating multiple guidelines. To protect your Local Guides account I strongly recommend that you study the photo guidelines and start removing non compliant images.

Let me know if you would like any help on finding the photo guidelines.

Cheers

Kindly answer my question about these photos. Did you upload them to Google Maps also?

If so please including MAPS links to the place.

Then I will answer your latest questions.

Thanks
Morten

No I haven’t uploaded the photos to Google Map yet @MortenCopenhagen

Thanks, @Tandrima2

Please understand that I’m in no way trying to come after you and your contributions. I’m trying to help you avoid getting suspended from the Local Guides program.

I will strongly suggest that you do not upload these photos to Google Maps. Here is why:

If this is the place where you are considering uploading the photos to, then please show me where you see the “Add photos” link or button. The problem is that there is no such link or button. This is because Chapra is not a Point of Interest but a so-called geographic feature like roads, cities, and lakes. Photos under such places are selected by a dedicated AI system from the best photos uploaded to POIs inside Chapra.

Not showing the Add photos link/button is how Google Maps communicate that this is not somewhere we can add photos to.

I have explained in more detail the difference between the types of pins on Google Maps here.

If you think it is difficult to know this and Google Maps should educate users better on this, I can only agree. It is pretty complicated stuff.

I sense that you are not distinguishing between photos on Google Maps and on Connect. Please do.

The guidelines for photos on Google Maps can be found here:

There are a lot of official rules related to what photos can be shared on Google Maps. Unfortunately, they are well hidden in a lot of different hard-to-read legal documents including:

You may also want to read:

https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/Common-Photo-Violations/td-p/2901636

and

https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/Avoid-uploading-duplicates-and-similar-pics/m-p/3559401

This explains most of the violations I see in your Contribution list.

There are also issues with recognizable faces and too dark photos that you should remove.

The rules for photos on Connect are likely more relaxed, but I do remember reading that we should strive to follow the same photo guidelines when posting on Connect. Sorry, I don’t have the link at hand.

But I think it is helpful that you shared these photos as we got an opportunity to discuss and refresh the guidelines.

All the best
