Photography Day got me inspired today, reminded me how much I enjoy taking photos although I have no actual knowledge of how to make the most of all the tools currently available.
Today I felt an urge to dust my camera off and go out. I went to a place I haven’t seen in more than 20 years (or so, I don’t remember my last visit, honestly, but I remember I was still a preschooler).
Posadas’ Botanical Garden is a simple place just a couple of minutes away from my home, and not too far from the city centre either, however it’s been left behind for fancier places, I haven’t heard of anyone who’s been here lately.
I took a quick hike and looked around the gardens, with the place almost to myself I started a kind of “free shooting” session, if such a thing exists.I spent an hour or so exploring and didn’t come across any other visitor on my way to the exit. And I felt very lucky to be an exclusive guest.
I went back home with a warm heart, it was nice to revisit this place, to listen to the crackling sounds of the leaves in the forest, the birds, the wind, sounds we know but rarely stop to appreciate. I smelled some flowers, looked up to the sky, sat down and relaxed.
I’d like to share a bit of what I’ve seen today, thanks for reading and Happy Photography Day to all Local Guides!
i can’t say what do I like the most if your photos or their descriptions! It is indeed a magical place and one can tell you felt a special connection with it, because tit is close to impossible to get photos like this without “feeling”. Congrats, on the re-discovery, on the impulse and on the result @kroza !
Thank you for sharing your experience and the photos that you took. It must be nice to visit a place you haven’t seen in ages. Was there anything different about it? I like the close-up photo of the pink flowers. Do you have any advice for the beginner photographers here?
Thanks @MoniDi for your comment! Actually, the memory of the place was rather blurry, imagine 20 years had gone by!
As for advice for beginners, as an amateur myself I wish someone had told me earlier how useful Google Photos is! Super easy to use and makes subtle corrections that do make a great difference to enhance your pics, besides being a great tool to keep back ups, I hope this helps
