I need help trying to figure out the huge discrepancy between the count on both photos.
I would appreciate any help as this is bugging me. I do know that 300+ views is incorrect. This is the first time something like this has happened. All of my other photos are consistent with the counts.

You have not pointed out your exact problem, but I’m guessing it is related to your most viewed photo that has earned 363.800 views in just one week. That is in itself very impressive.
If your total view counter is lower than expected, please keep in mind that they are updated only once a week (approximately) while the count on the individual photos are updated in almost real time.
Just wait a week and I believe the discrepancy will be a lot lower.

Thank you so much for responding, even though I was not very clear.
What I meant to point out is that there is no way that I have 300k views on that one photo in just a few days. It was only the front of the building, lol! But as you can see from the other photo (which is the same) it has 69k views which is more realistic. When looking at a grid of my photos you see one number (60k) but when you click on the actual picture and go into the gallery the count (300k) is much higher. It has to be a glitch of the view counter. I hope I have made it more clear. I don’t want to take credit for 300+thousand views when in actuality it is only 60+thousand.
The number of views in the email updates are a few days older and hence lower than the actual number.
I don’t think there is a mistake. Just wait a few days and you will see if the high number continues to grow or reverts back down.
I have one photo having gained 26 million views.
If you make your profile unrestricted for a short while I would be happy to take a look.
Also, it would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.

Your most viewed image is now at almost 395k so it is increasing rapidly.
This is consistent with the fact that the photo is now the cover photo = the first photo of the place. And the place is very popular with 1400+ reviews.

You are a wealth of great information! I was so skeptical because I’ve never had a photo get that many views in such a short amount of time. This is all so fun to me. I have not even tapped into how to maximize being a local guide. I just do what I do

I didn’t feel the need to make a new post because this is along the same subject line. My all-time photo views were at 1.1 million. Then I clicked on “new ideas on what to contribute”. The suggestion was to add a name to my food/drink photos. After doing that, my count dropped to 949k. I’m so disappointed and don’t know what happened. You seem very knowledgeable about a lot of issues that are posted, so I thought I’d ask you first. I did a search for the answer but did not find anything.

I don’t know what happened, but 2 of your photos are hidden, maybe that can explain the drop in views. t could be a temporary glitz. The total is only updated 1-2 times a week.
When you have added a lot more photos you will not notice such fluctuations.
Also, you may want to consider not sharing photos taken out of a car window, and sharing 2 photos of the same drinks (from different angles) is also not recommended.
