This year, spring brought me a lot of good memories of the places I have visited in the past during this season. All the photos I have from before are cheerfully colorful.
Below are some moments I have captured at different places, like parks, mountains, and cities, during spring a couple of years ago. I encourage you to take part in this photo challenge and share your favorite spring photos. Tell us where you took them and why they are your favorite.
1. Borisova Garden in Sofia, Bulgaria
I took this photo last year in Borisova Garden in Sofia. I usually visit this park with my family and friends, and I can spend hours there jogging, reading a book, playing with my kids, or roller skating. This is the oldest and best-known garden in Sofia, named after Tsar Boris III, who was king of the Bulgarian Kingdom between 1918-1943. In the park, there is also a lake, beautiful flower beds, walking paths, and places for sports activities.
2. Raysko Praskalo Waterfall in Central Balkan National Park, Bulgaria
The Raysko Praskalo Waterfall is the highest waterfall not only in Bulgaria, but also in the Balkan Peninsula. It is over 124 meters high and is located under Botev Peak, the highest peak in the Balkan Mountains (2376 meters).
To see the beauty of Raysko Praskalo Waterfall, you have to hike for about five hours in the mountains inside the Central Balkan National Park and through the Dzhendema Reserve. The hiking trails are pleasant, and the terrain is not that steep. While walking along the paths, you can see many free-roaming horses with their little ones.
3. Tuileries Garden in Paris, France
The Tuileries Garden in Paris is a very famous park, located close to the Louvre Museum. I visited Paris in May 2013 while on a business trip. Apart from the main tourist sites and great galleries and museums, I was amazed by the gardens there, full of spring flowers and fountains.
4. Venice, Italy
Venice is one of my favorite destinations. I visited it a few years ago and enjoyed its impressive architecture and cultural sites. I also had a great time trying the amazing ice cream and delicious food. Venice is beautiful in all seasons, but I think it’s the most colorful and vibrant during spring.
