Hello to everyone, I had a problem updating the contact number of an organization which can be seen in the attached picture.I want your help to solve the problem. When the organization number changes, I try to change it to Google Map. It shows an error message.“Enter a correct and complete phone number with area code”
Also, since the place is claimed you are not likely to be able to change the phone number. Even if you overcome the formatting problem. I suggest you contact the company and remind them to update their information on Google Maps via the Google My Business app or website.
The interests as a business owner and a local guide should not be mixed since there can be conflicts of interest. So please delete your account here on Connect should your primary interests be your business.
@MortenCopenhagen thank you for your reply, If the place is claimed by another why I cann’t able to suggest an edit? In charge of this organization gave me this changed number and asked me to change it.
@MahabubMunna I think you misunderstand what @MortenCopenhagen said - Local Guides can post problems here and talk about them. There isn’t much of a path to actually get them resolved here which is why Morten suggested the Maps Forum.
For @Faruk-BD Morten is right, if you are representing the company then you need to manage the change via https://business.google.com/ through the account that manages this business. If you are a Local Guide that has been asked to make the change then you can attempt it, but again as Morten said because the entry is claimed the business should really be doing it themselves. I’ve had some success editing a claimed Maps place but its unusual.
@MortenCopenhagen thank you for your suggetion, I will share My problem in GMB. But that actualiy I am not a business ower just a normal local guides try to edit conact number correction becous the in charge of the organization made the request to me.

If you both are “just” helpful local guides, I suggest you reach out to the company and suggest they change the phone number via the link @PaulPavlinovich suggested if not in the GMB app.

Many businesses can make claims but they do not maintain it and they may not remember it, a lot of information has been updated. I usually do this as a Local guide where I find any mistakes.
There are recovery procedures available for when a claimed entry is “lost” @Faruk-BD tell the business to visit https://business.google.com/ and they will find the resources they need.
