Most of the time, I accompany friends to watch the show at Phare. I have been there more than 5 times and still want to go when opportunities come up.
Phare is a social enterprise that help young kids to get educated and provided livelihood opportunities to them such as become artists, painters, dancers and many others. This article is part of the What to see in Siem Reap in my previous post.
If you go to Google, type “Things to do in Siem Reap”, there will always be ‘Phare Circus’ popping up.
Please do it. It is beyond amazing!
There are two centers of Phare here, one in Battambang and one in Siem Reap.
- Phare Battambang is more the training center. The price for the ticket is 14$/person
- Phare in Siem Reap is more a professional circus show. The price for the ticket varies from 18-38$ base on seat you are taking. At this moment, the tickets in Siem Reap are 10$ and 20$, respectively!
- So far, Phare trained more than 1,000 students to become professional artists.
- They did lots of international tours in the past.

Hi @Sophia_Cambodia hardly any one have chance to visit such places to spend there leisure time to enjoys circus.Think this is one of the good time to have at Siem Reap.

Hola @Sophia_Cambodia me encantó ambas propuestas. La formación de futuros artistas, de los niños y jóvenes desgraciadamente la vemos en Instituciones, que a pulmón las llevan adelante. Creo que los gobiernos,además de educar académicamente, deberían darles la oportunidad de desarrollarse en otras muchas disciplinas. Los tiempos han cambiado y las manifestaciones culturales también. Hay mucho más que las Artes tradicionales.

Covid-19 means no more performance so they have no job!
