Dear Local Guides, I have carefully studied the guidelines. Is there somewhere I can see which of the guidelines I specifically violated? Is there human contact with the helpdesk? Thank you and greetings Markus
Hi @MarkusScout
Negative on both counts.
The closest you get is your peers here on Connect. We will be happy to try to help you spot what you could be doing wrong. The guidelines are extensive and not easily accessible.
Please elaborate on what you think could be wrong and what sanctions you are facing.
From your profile I suggest you consider the following:
Your profile text suggests you are representing a business:
Many of your photos are redundant. Just look at all the photos you uploaded to https://maps.app.goo.gl/D9w1xQohwZ96F5XN8
Should we run out of clues on how to help you we can try to escalate the issue to Google staff.
Cheers
Morten
Hi, @MarkusScout
If you ask a ore direct question, as @MortenCopenhagen said, we will be happy to help you.
No direct contact is provided by the help desk, and it make sense, as there are more than 150 millions Local Guides in the world.
In any case some violation is easy to spot, like 528 photos added in a single place. The location seems to be your own business, but in such case you should claim the business and add the photos as “The Owner”, not getting points for them. The violation in that case is “redundancy”. From the Community policy : “Dark, blurry, and redundant photos will be removed. Users who duplicate photos across locations, … will also be removed.”.
Several photos posted twice here. a copy in B&W still be a a duplicate, and it is also a violation of the rules. The photos posted there appear to (might) be a commissioned photo shoot. In this case they should be uploaded by the Business, not using a profile as a Local Guide.
Please let us know if you need more details
Hi @MarkusScout ,
Thanks for reaching out. I see you already got great answers from both @MortenCopenhagen and @ErmesT above in the comments.
Please note that I moved your post to the How-tos board. Here, you can swap advice with other Local Guides and share how to create helpful contributions on Google Maps and Connect.
Also, I’ve noticed that your post has a German language label. Keep in mind that I’ve removed it as your post is in English. To learn more about these kinds of labels, I recommend taking a look at the article, How do I find posts in my preferred language?.
