Why local guides from Pakistan are not eligible for perks these are only a socks actually this socks is not very costly and for a common personi it has not so much importence but for local guides it has a different meanings we don’t contribute for this socks but when I see this Pakistan is not eligible for this perk so I was shocked and want to register my protest we are also contributing honestly and this perk is more than an honor for me so please is there any body will give me satisfied answer please don’t share policy links I have read all the links many time I just want to say please we are not contributing for this socks but all should be equal from all parts of the world am I right @To_paul , @ErmesT , @Ant_Bad_Yogi , @Austinelewex

I don’t have any idea why Pakistanis Local Guides are not eligible for Local Guide socks.
I suggest that Google team should review and revise their policies about Pakistan.

Google is very generous when it comes to giving out those #LG socks, that’s what we experienced during CL19, when #LGBFC requested for the socks and made a statement. well, that was a request that we made and that too on a very lighter and friendlier note.
As per my understanding, they have not excluded Pakistan from the list ( infact, no such list was ever published ). The only reason I see is based on logistics, as @ErmesT already narrowed it down.
Let’s wait to hear from the Googlers and what they might add to it.
You have all the rights to make a statement or complaint about something , but please don’t say that Google excluded Pakistan , which will stir the community and will make people think about the cause, which is not the case in first place. Every Local Guide is entitled to the same perks regardless of their origin, but we live in a world where logistics, human interaction and operational policies may differ based on where we are residing.
I hope that you will soon hear from one of the moderators.

Sometimes, there are perks available and it will vary from time to time and from region to region. It depends on who the Google partners are. There may also be special and/or early access to Google features. You can read more about it in this article Get recognized.
By the way, there is an idea Reached level 5 but no perks on Idea Exchange board, so feel free to vote for it.

Yes I also don’t know any list in which Pakistan excluded I am saying on this base that I never heard from an LG from Pakistan that he received any perk from Google

bro i agree with your thoughts and words there may be some perks for pakistanis so that they can enjoy along with cintributing to the google maps. but i also agree with the experts there is issue of logistics and other such kinda operations so we have to wait for a better announcement and decision make by google for us … no matter what,s going on we will contribute for betterment of tourism and to help our people and especially to help foreigners to get assistance from google maps regarding pakistan.
everybody got Google Drive membership after reaching level 4 but I haven’t got google drive membership, even I am on level 5 and they also mentioned that this is because of country, @ErmesT @OmerAli does google drive need logistic?

The promotion (100 GB for ONE year) ended on March 27, 2017, and was given to the Local Guides who reached L4 before that date. The Level Five was the top level at that moment, and reaching level 4 wasn’t so easy like it is now, because the point system was very different.

@ErmesT already answered that question. To the best of my knowledge, Currently there are no active Google One promotion perks based on the points, but please stay active and keep up the good work I’m sure in near future we might get to hear from them again. Besides, once you are more involved with the community you will realize the biggest perk is the friendship and the valuable contributions from our beautiful family members that not only drives us but also provides us with an opportunity to learn new things every day.
