My personal experience with Google Maps is that I always look for photos whether I am searching for a restaurant, a bar, a medical facility or a grocery store. They say “A picture is worth a thousands words” which is, no doubt, very much true. Pictures for a place tells a lot about the experience different people have with that place. You only tend to post a picture about a place if you really liked it or disliked it for some reason. In both cases, it helps the audience.
I like to travel around the world and wherever I go, I take photos of places I visit. I upload those photos and I feel proud when my photos are viewed by thousands of people around the world on Google Maps. I feel I am helping the community by showing them what they haven’t seen or visited yet.
I would recommend everyone to contribute to this cause as much as they can and it’s not that difficult. You have your phone with you all the time which has Google Maps application, a camera and the internet. Uploading a photo that you have taken and attaching to a place on Google Maps hardly takes 5 seconds.
