I want to take attention of all Google Moderator & also my fellow local guides so I’m tagging any of them

Today I was going through my reviews, I found out some famous places name & business changed.

First one is ‘Khajrana Ganesh Mandir’ this place is a Hindu Temple with over 4,652 reviews & 4.7 star rating, someone claimed this as his business and it even got approved and he named it as ‘Imran Car AC’ under Car Service Category.Link of the location - https://www.google.co.in/maps/place/IMRAN+CAR+AC/@22.7315381,75.9058836,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m11!1m5!8m4!1e4!2s110348615793081410189!3m1!1e1!3m4!1s0x3962fd53a3ffffed:0x87a37926c85a2db0!8m2!3d22.7315332!4d75.9080723?hl=en

The person who claimed this as his business removed thousand of pictures from the location of the original place and uploaded his business pictures & 2-3 original pictures left only.

My point is how such large business got approved for someone so easily?

Modify your policies little stronger for such big businesses

The second one is a mall, someone did the same thing as claiming it as of own & placed it so far from the location and named it as ‘Writing expert’ Under ‘Research and product development’ category & some unknown changes.

This place was having 13,010 reviews with 4.1 star rating, the original name of this place is ‘People’s Mall’ under ‘Shopping Mall’ category.

Kindly fix this as well.

Modify this location as I mentioned above and place it under these coordinates - 23.303945, 77.421669

Fix this as well

These are the two big issues.

The third one is also a Mall named as ‘Malhar Mega Mall’ and replaced by ‘Bird eye production’.For this only fix the name. This place is having 9,884 reviews with 4.1 star rating.

These are the issues, the thing which I want to report or ask is how these big businesses easily be approved by anyone. Make your policies stronger & if possible then please allow such modification in big businesses by Local Guides only as we’re working for this only.

And also update your claim business policy as you saw a person how changed everything after claiming to a place.

I would also request to terminate the accounts of such people or terminate them from accessing modification in Google Maps.

Please take steps on this big issue.

I support you. This is insanity. One must not misguide others for his/her own profit.

I request the Moderators to Change the Policies of Approving a Content. I suggest atleast 10 other Local guides should verify the Fact and only then the change should be made live.

I have faced similar issues with two Historical Gurudwaras in Delhi.

I have tried to edit, but not successful.

I have even reported to Google, but no action.

It is bug which needs urgent attention of the developers.

Hi @yadavhimanshu the problem you have reported is not in the realm of Local Guides, these are allegedly fraudulent business activities and I recommend you report them via the Google My Business Business Redressal Complaint Form https://support.google.com/business/contact/business_redressal_form

Hi Paul,

What I found was a religious place being shown under a different name. Obviously the religious place is not on Google My Business, but certainly on Google Maps. How to address that ?

I have tried to edit and report to Google, without any success.

You have raised a very good point…I have seen there are so many such frauds, So google must make strong policy so that such things would not repeate in future .

@AlexaAC Yes, do update these places as these are quite famous places in the city otherwise, people will add duplicate places to the map for the same location.

Ya, I’ll keep it in mind to not to do over tagging.

The places which I mentioned in my post, two of them got approved early.

But the first place location which I mentioned is not updated till now & it been 10 days now.

Do update that place it is really a very famous place in my area.

Again giving detail about the location which needs to be updated ASAP right down.
