Wherever you travel, you need to eat, sleep, and visit, it’s kind of a general thing you have to do, whatever you’re travelling for. You will have to choose between thousands of different choices of restaurants, hotels, museums, historical places, snacks… and whether you liked what you ate, saw, visited, where you slept, is all linked to many different subjective preferences. But kindness, or helpfulness of the people you meet, is a global thing. Whether you liked the spicy food in an Indian restaurant or not, you will never remain untouched by the heartwarming, or stone cold welcome you received when you entered the place, the smile whenever you made a joke that isn’t funny, or the help you received for a menu written in a language you don’t understand.
What sticks to me the most whenever I go to a place, are the people. I sincerely believe the people are a countries most important ADN, because everything linked to a countries culture, is directly linked to its people. The food always tatstes better when it’s served with a smile, a visit always sounds more interesting when explained with passion.
