"Pedra da Gávea", The biggest monolith on a coastline of the world.

Hi, I live in Brazil and I went to the “Pedra da Gávea”, The biggest monolith on a coastline of the world: 842 mt (2,769 ft) of granite above the sea level, in Tijuca Forest, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. becoming one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the city.

A amazing place, surrounded by legends.

The trail that leads to the “Head of the Emperor”

One legend goes that, in ancient times, the Pedra da Gávea was visited by Phoenicians who carved a face with an inscription and chose the mountain as a sacred place. Phoenician sphinx?

(vertical video, audio in portuguese : )

This was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been in Brazil, and I shared it in google maps.
