Patuartek is located approximately 30 km from the main Cox’s Bazar city and around 6 km from the Inani Sea Beach. Although it is a great attraction for tourists, many of the people haven’t heard the name of the beach that much. Hence it remained infamous and only few tourists visit this place. However, with the help of social media, and many other travel organizations, the place is starting to get new tourist at present and hopefully in future it may even surpass the popularity of the main Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach.
I went to this place almost a year ago, and came to know about this place from an auto rickshaw driver. He suggested me to visit this place. Hence without wasting anytime, I took a day off and visited Patuartek along with my family members. The beach here is quite clean and bluish compared to other beaches of Cox’s Bazar. You can also observe pebbles and rocks of different sizes a bit similar to Saint Martin. Beside, there are other activities such as quad bikes, horse riding etc. If you hire a quad bike, you’ll be able to see these red crabs. The quad bike drivers will take you to another part of the beach where the crabs can be mostly seen. You can also walk there and find out if you don’t want to waste money on hiring the bikes. Make sure if you visit Cox’s Bazar, you visit Patuartek once. Hopefully you’ll be amazed by the beauty of this place. The place is easily accessible as you can hire jeep /auto rickshaws/ cngs from the Kolatoli point. They will take you there through the marine drive road. The best time to get to this place is in the morning and return back before the evening since there aren’t any accommodation for staying.
