Real citizens :man_office_worker: love their country and are committed to the peace and prosperity of their Nation. Every month (through emails) and at the end of the year Google celebrates Local Guides from around the world by inviting them to California for an invaluable exchange of experience, information about people from different cultures and backgrounds.

I opened my first Gmail account in 2009 and as at the posting of this article it will be 11 years since that date and I have been a local guide for like 3 years constantly updating and contributing where I can. The time I have been a local guide in this forum is important because I have had the opportunity to collaborate and share my knowledge, interact with people in other continents and see the impact they have made in making such a great contribution to Google Maps.

Patriotism :kenya: is defined as the devotion to and vigorous support for one’s country.This is what the Local Guides program has shown me and means to me. :moyai:

**The success I have achieved has been a result of constant guidance from the local guide community :boy: :older_woman: .**The dedication, values and principles I have seen in members of the community to serve people and make a difference in general is commendable and a true reflection of what it means to be a PATRIOT.

That is whyI will continue contributing :dolls: and why I love sharing my experiences. :earth_asia:

One more thing which is quite important here on the forum: if you want to make sure that another Connect user sees a reply you give, make sure to ‘tag’ them by typing the ‘@’ symbol and then select that user from the list (or start typing the name if there is no list).
