Hi LGs! I’m heading to Chilean Patagonia next week (and Santiago) and looking for any LGs who’ve been and/or are in the region. Would love to connect if possible, either on Connect, or offline.

Hola @SuzanneN , es un gran viaje el que realizaras, tienes muchos lugares para visitar, supongo que Chiloé ya conoces, es un lugar muy hermoso de visitar, con sus iglesias antiguas y los palofitos. Muy cerca de donde estas, esta las catedrales de mármol del lado chileno, en el lugar denominado chile chico. Y si vas mucho mas abajo te recomiendo que realices la ruta de los fiordos, esa ruta no tuve oportunidad de hacer todavía, pero estoy seguro que en algún momento lo realizaré.
Para el cazo que subas un poco y llegues a cruzar la frontera por El Paso Samoré, podrás hacer la ruta de los 7 lagos es preciosa. Y si continuas mas al norte ya estarás llegando a Santiago de Chile que es una ciudad muy grande y con muchas opciones, en museos y paseos de compras, aunque actualmente no se si ir tía a Santiago por la situación actual en la que se vive en Santiago.
Ahora para el caso de que tío es rumbo al sur después de dejar la ruta de los fiordos podrás llegar a la XII region de Chile, en Punta Arenas que es la ultima ciudad grande del lado Chileno, en el medio podrás pasar las bellas montañas de las Torres del Paine, un parque muy lindo y luego cruzar al lado Argentino y visitar el Glaciar Perito Moreno y si continuas mas al sur ya llegaras a la ciudad de Río Grande, que si es el caso que pasas por ella con rumbo a Ushuaia, me gustaría saludarte, he invitarte a tomar un te o un cafe. Luego el último destino antes del fin del mundo Ushuaia, una ciudad hermosa con muchas opciones turísticas y luego si te animas puedes cruzar a Puerto Williams en Chile, donde se termina todo.

Hi @SuzanneN , I have never been to the Chilean Patagonia, but I have been in Santiago a few times. It’s a beautiful city!
When I visited it I made a My Maps with some interesting places and a path to walk to see all of the touristic things that are in the centre, in case you’re also interested in info about Santiago, you can check the map I used clicking here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=11giDte34dsZqNguXXMRcJ7yKEAY&usp=sharing
The apartment where I stayed is also marked, it was a nice and quiet neighborhood and really close to the Costanera building, a shopping center that also has one of the best viewing points of the city.
Other than what you can find in the map I shared, I also remember that all or most shopping centers had benefits for tourists: a discount book and even portable chargers in some. Another place worth going for the views is Terraza Bellavista.

Yo vivo en Ushuaia, es la ultima ciudad de argentina ubicada en la Patagonia Argentina
Conocí la Patagonia Chilena y es muy linda! Punta Arenas y Puerto Natales son ciudades muy hermosas.
Pero si visitas la Patagonia Chilena no dejes de visitar el Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, tienes atractivos turisticos muy interesantes

I have never been to chilean Patagonia, but as @Jesi I have been to Santiago de Chile 2 times. It is a wanderful city!
Near chilean patagonia, I have been in Bariloche and Villa la Angostura. Two cities in Argentina, very near Chilean Frontier that are really beautiful! Both places are near La ruta de los Siete Lagos that @FaridTDF was talking about.
