On that day, I spent hours contemplating how to get customers to my enterprise without them calling for directions - I spent hours trying to find a solution.
Then, I had a feeling, “why don’t I add my business on the map?” At first, I was skeptical. I searched “how to add a place to the Google Map”
A plethora of suggestions poped - I clicked on the eight (8) suggestion.
I learned everything and successfully added my enterprise to the map. There, I found a purpose that led me to learn and implement as such.
But then, purpose goes with passion. After adding my enterprise, it became easy for new customers to locate us without calling for directions. That increased the customer response. As a result, I developed a passion. To pursue the Local Guide program.
I have added and reviewed places in my locality and beyond - some of whom are doing better off with customers as a result.
Anytime I added or review, I feel a sense of belonging to the wider world as such considering myself as a global citizen.
The Local guide program has connected me to fabulous individuals in Ghana and others abroad - here come the people.
Through my reviews, I have come to appreciate the importance of little things impactful humans as local guides do to make the world a better place.
For now, I have concluded individual local guides make a group of global citizens who are adding, reviewing, places to help the world be more visible.
Passion. Purpose. People. - this is what the Local Guides Program mean to me.
