Pashan Lake is an artificial lake near the suburb of Pashan, about 12 km from the city center of Pune, India. The lake was built in the British era to accommodate the water requirement of the neighborhood.
This place is near to Vetal Tekdi (Highest Hill Point of Pune City, India), approx 15-20 min drive. Both Pashan Lake and Vetal Tekdi is popular among bird watchers and photographers.
Pune Municipal Corporation has done eco-restoration of Pashan Lake under JNNURM projects of government of India.
There’s also request from PMC that while visitors enjoy bird watching and photography, they should read the sign boards about birds, their habitats and inform back if they come across something new at birdsofpashan
Below is the board of Environment Cell, PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation).
I just wanted to say that your photos look great. The first picture is actually my favorite one, but the one with the caption “On the way To Vetal Tekdi Hill” is pretty fascinating. Did you play a lot with some filters to make this greenish effect? It has a very interesting vibe that for sure.
