City-center park with gardens, a trolley stop, an Arab-style pavilion. This pavilion sits in the most strategic centers of the downtown area of Ponce PR centering it’s carousel of beautiful structures. Well worth the time and drive out of the more touristy areas of Puerto Rico.
The city has been christened as Museum City for its many quality museums.[180][181] All museums in Ponce are under municipal government administration. On 15 September 2004, the last four museums not under local control were transferred from the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture to the Ponce Municipal Government by act of the Puerto Rico Legislature.[182] However, these four museums (Casa Armstrong Poventud, Casa Wiechers-Villaronga, Museo de la Música Puertorriqueña, and Casa de la Masacre) continue to be controlled by the ICP.[183][184] Downtown Ponce in particular features several museums and landmarks
