I only just joined as a Local Guide, a month or so back - thanks to a email subscription and wow! it is like a whole new world for me! I guess my excitement about being part of Local Guides - is that finaaally! I can do more with the many photos I take on my travels.
My travels take me to some of the most rural places in the New Britain New Ireland Region of Papua New Guinea where I work and most of them are not on Google Maps (I’ve checked some places), thus ‘missing places’ I see I can contribute to most with places from where I am in Papua New Guinea as there is still so much more to add on to the maps!
I’ve added some already and so much more to add - to do reviews.
“Add a missing place” would be my favourite section (lol) of Google Maps and I’ve started adding some in the location I am in.
I guess being part of Local Guides - you become more aware and alert of locations, sites, everything around you so that you can be able to share to the world.
There is so much more to share about Papua New Guinea sites and every site and every turn has its own beauty and its own story as is with any site and location around the world!
I have to go through my photo collections and start using them to update Google Maps sites.
