Panjab University is a prestigious public university located in Chandigarh, India. Originated in 1882 as the University of Punjab, it was relocated in Chandigarh in the year 1947 as the East Punjab University after the partition of India, where the university was split between Pakistan and India. On this day our focal point would be to add/edit/review Departments, Medical Shops, Retail Shops, gardens, toilets, etc on Google Maps. This will help the students, professors and everyone who come to Panjab University. All are welcome to join us, please invite all your friends along and start the leap year month with this Map Editing. Rough agenda: 1. Meet and greet people. 2. Explore Panjab University. 3. Add new places, review. 4. Take lots of photos. Notes: 1. Bring your fully charged mobile phone. 2. No entry fee. Reachability By Road: You can arrive here via road very quickly as it is well connected to other cities with the help of National Highways. Catch the bus anytime as they are mostly available especially from Punjab and Delhi. By Train: This city has its railway station which is connected to other major cities. Another benefit of coming via train is that the fare is very nominal and trains almost keep running from time to time. By Air: Chandigarh International Airport is about 12km from the central city.
