  • According to the Ramayana, Nashik is the location on the banks of the Godavari River where Lakshmana cut the nose of the demoness Surpanakha, hence the name “Nashik.” It is also known by the name Panchavati.
  • It’s believed that Panchavati was a part of the Dandakaranya Forest mentioned in the Hindu epic Ramayana and Rama, Sita and Lakshmana stayed in this area during their 14-year exile from Ayodhya.

I remember visiting Panchavati area in Nashik 30 years ago.

The photos are nicely captured :+1: though it seems you used a mobile device.

Due to this, photo appears much smaller on a laptop.

I suggest you edit the post, then change the settings of the inserted photo to ‘Larger’.
