I love to share some of these stuff I found here so as to prepare you for what to meet whenever anyone visit Africa. A big warm welcome is always available to this continent.
This is my first time coming across a variety of beans so tiny and also quite beautiful. I love the dull green colour. In reality the eyes are silvery and it shines. This can only be found here in the North-East of Liberia where I reside and work. This is planted locally and harvested locally as well. It is usually boiled in water simply and other condiments added to it for taste. We often have what we cal fried beans along side with our rice here. Wonder does it exist anywhere else on the planet? Especially in India or Indonesia or anywhere else in Asia.
In Liberia rice is the staple food here although we have varieties of sauces that goes with it. We have imported rice and also locally planted rice. The local one is quite tasty although the process of harvest is quite rigorous, strenuous and not too clean. It’s quite cheap easy to find. Whenever you get it,you’ll need to sort it out by finger picking to pick out stones and other dirt materials before cooking.
