Padma Bridge: Our Dream is Being True

The Padma Bridge is a multipurpose road-rail bridge across the Padma River, the main distributary of Ganges, under construction in Bangladesh.

It will connect Louhajong, Munshiganj to Shariatpur and Madaripur, linking the south-west of the country, to northern and eastern regions. Padma Bridge is the most challenging construction project in the history of Bangladesh.

It will be two level truss bridge. The Padma Bridge total length will be 6.15km and width 18.10 m. It will be four-lane High-way and single lane railway. The bridge will have a total of 41 of spans, 42 pillars , each 150 metres long and weighing 3,140 tonnes.

It is going to be the longest bridge in Bangladesh,

The project is now being funded from own resources of the Government of Bangladesh.
