This photo taken during our recent holiday to Padang Besar, Perlis during Hari Raya 2022. It was very quiet, only few people with us that time. Our first experience ride with ETS (Electric Train Service) from Kuala Lumpur to Padang Besar.
Hey @Diana_umbat I’m very curious to know about the difference between the electronic and Normal train experience , which train you like , as I know electric trains don’t make much noise is it true ?
Thanks and have a nice day ![]()
Hello @Diana_umbat happy to see you here sharing the electric train hahaha funny how quiet the place I am sure it is because people are pulang kampoeng during hari raya.
We have one here we call them People Mover but it is operated high above the ground going around the downtown of Detroit you can check it [here]
If this is your first time here welcome to Local Guides Connect where people from all over the world connect.to each other. Btw I am Erna from Michigan USA.

@Mukul_Anand Yes, it’s true that the ETS is quieter than normal train which produce smoke and noises. Very smooth and fast too. You can’t feel the movement especially if you are seating backward… Our 1st experience we have the backward seats as the train that time was quite full. It was fun and very nice scenery along the way to Padang Besar.
@Erna_LaBeau Haha. Thank you for sharing about the DPM. Wow free ride for 90 days! I also have experience ride the subway in Fukuoka, Japan. 1st time seeing everyone in the train, so quiet, no one make noise or speaks or chit chatting to each other cause the rule ride - quiet. Everyone like… looking at the phone and mind your own business which we are not use to it. haha
Hehehe I think the “quite” mean no screaming or loud talk LOL try DPM when you happen to visit Detroit @Diana_umbat
@Erna_LaBeau Yeah, i think the way to respect each other while you inside the train. Not to disturb others. I like Japan so much. The country is so beautiful and clean. No rubbish at all. Not like our country. Haha. Sorry to say.
I will love to visit Detroit one day. Definitely in one day… Take care and stay safe @Erna_LaBeau
