La Pachamama (Pacha: “Mundo”, “Universo”, “Tierra”. Mama: “Madre”) es la representación de la Madre Tierra desde la época de los pueblos indígenas de América del Sur (Bolivia, Perú, Chile, entre otros).
Esta escultura se encuentra en Talca, Región de Maule, donde la agricultura es muy importante (Especialmente la agricultura vitivinícola) y eso es lo que intenta representar esta escultura (La Pachamama entregándoles los frutos de las viñas a los agricultores).
Elegí esta fotografía porque representa la cultura agrícola de mi región y porque fué mi primera foto a una escultura.

The Pachamama (Pacha: “World”, “Universe”, “Earth”. Mama: “Mother”) is the representation of Mother Earth since the time of the indigenous peoples of South America (Bolivia, Peru, Chile, among others).
This sculpture is found in Talca, Maule Region, where agriculture is very important (especially wine-growing agriculture) and that is what this sculpture tries to represent (The Pachamama giving the fruits of the vineyards to the farmers).
I chose this photograph because it represents the agricultural culture of my region and because it was my first photo to a sculpture.
