“I go to nature every day for inspiration in the day’s work.” –Frank Lloyd Wright
This was said by a master architect who built structures that was meant to keep us indoors. But, to go out into the open air should be everyone’s priority. If possible, in all seasons. This happens to be my prime concern when I write about places on Google Maps. Is this place easily accessible from a suburb? Is this located in a densely populated place in an urban area ? Is it safe for children ? Can we buy a quick snack here, if required ? Can I barbeque a meal ? Do I have to drive a long way to get some peace and quiet ? Is it free ? Is it possible to visit this place in all seasons ? Many times I post about small parks that are located around hotels or motels we stay at during trips. Care to share,is the motto as a Google Local guide.
Spring time is beautiful in Texas. I like to update about random patches of blue bonnets which are photograph worthy. Many times, they bloom in large patches by the side of the road. All one has to do is drop a pin.
I wager that even a short walk around the community will lift one’s mood.
This is a one of America’s most beautiful urban parks. It is right in the middle of Dallas downtown, and is built on an overpass.
It is entirely possible to cycle around many small towns and seasonal places around the States. Cycles are affordable to rent ( about $23, for the whole day), and one gets to see views that could not have been accessed by foot or in a car.
A lazy day at home can be offset by going to the local kids park. There are many playground equipment that are suitable for adults as well.
Camping is not for everyone, but it is a cheap option.
Under the snow, nature emanates a different side of itself. All one needs is the right clothing.
Visiting the National Parks should be on everyone’s list. Although it is not close-by or cheap, but it is there for everyone to enjoy. They do not make any discrimination, and share their beauty equally with all who visit.
Here, inTexas, most years, this is all the snow that we get. It is beautiful to see from the inside, but even more so outdoors ! Everything smells different and the ambient light from it is peaceful.
How about a walk through the Botanic Gardens ? Especially when the wildflowers bloom ? The Botanic Gardens is a good way to see local flora and fauna in their best setting.
