Outcome of “Experience Sharing Meet-up 2019”
After the declaration of “Experience Sharing Meet-up 2019” I was very much excited like other Local Guides. Bangladesh Local Guides face book page had been very much active for a couple of days. However, at last the gorgeous and colorful meet-up was held successfully on November 29, 2019 as per scheduled time. From beginning to end of the program the participants actively participated physically and mentally, because it was really enjoyable in each and every context.
At first @SShuvo who was the host of the meet-up began the program by thanking and welcoming the participants. Of course, the rest of the program was continued by @RafsanRana as a strong anchorman.
The program was as joyful in one side, it was a learning session in other sides indeed. Due to give pleasure the attractive complimentary gifts were distributed among all the participants. Some gifts were common what were given to all and some were special which were distributed to some participants on account of special performance in different categories.
In learning session our four experts @MahabubMunna (Mr. Mahabub Hasan), Mr. Saad, Mr. Jaheed and Mr. Leon discussed about mapping. They tried to solve the map related problems instantly that were raised by our Local Guides throughout the country.
We learned a lot of things from a connect moderator @SumaiyaZafrinC (Sumaiya Zafrin). She taught us how we would do the work prudently and how we would write review in Google Maps fruitfully. She also advised us to write in Local Guides Connect regularly with great content and information.
Our main session was conducted by @MahabubMunna (Mr. Mahabub Hasan) as he recently returned home from “Connect Live 2019”. He shared many important memorable moments in “Connect Live 2019” and gave directions for upcoming days. To do the good job in future, he focused on three areas.
Be helpful map: Map must be the most helpful and user friendly. The people who will use the map have to be benefited from it. They must get enough information from the content. So, everybody should try to give the information in details, without partially and partiality.
A truly local map: All the Local Guides should give true information in Google Maps. If the posted information will be realistic the quality of the map will be improved that will be helpful for all users and nobody will be cheated by using it.
A map for everyone: If we are cautious and do job carefully the map will be for everyone. The people, who use the map, want correct information and if they do not get enough & true information they are disappointed which damage our image.
At last I want to say again the meet-up was really gratifying, colorful and learning and it was more vivid when @TraciC and @brittym sent video clip for us which made us enthusiastic.
Finally I can tell, “The time of meet-up was limited but outcome was unlimited”.
