Actually this isn’t my first time trip to Yogyakarta, but this is my first time trip with my colleagues to that special region. This trip is already planned for long time before but it’s quiet hard for us to take vacation because of our’s busy life. Finally, we decided to go on last June. We planned to go to Yogyakarta for about 2 days.
We took a train to go to Yogyakarta for about 8 hours from Malang. It estimated to arrive in the morning, then we went to our homestay(we’ve already rented it before).
Next day, we took a rest little bit and then get prepared for our first destination. It’s one of historical place in Yogyakarta and also it’s not far enough from our homestay. The place is …
Yeah…it’s called TamanSari. It’s one of the famous tourist attraction, formerly it’s site of royal garden which have some functions. Here, you can see and feel the atmosphere at past time. There are also some beautiful spot for taking pictures here, me and my friend tried to take many photos as many as we can. FYI, there will be an additional ticket for who brings a camera(photo permit).
Afterthat, we went to the next ancient building…it’s located near Taman Sari. This place called Pulo Cemeti, an ancient building that looks like a broken building with some debris around it, but some of people used it for take photos instead.
We spent more than 3 hours in those places and it’s quite exhausting for us, so we decied to go back to homestay and take a rest for awhile.
But, our trip hasn’t stopped here. As we’ve planned before…we still have one more destination in day one, at night we went to Malioboro(major shopping street in Yogyakarta).
Here, we walked along the street and try some street small stall surroundings this street, people usually called “Angkringan”. Not only that, in this street there are street musicians and painters also. Next, we bought some souvenirs that’s have affordable price.
For until midnight, we decided to go back for saving our energy for the next day trip. What will we do on the next day? Ssstt…coming soon ;D
