Our Beaches is our country pride.

Hello LG,

**Beach Cleaning post #LGC Birthday Happy Birthday Connect post by @KashifMisidia & #Awareness Challenge by @Denise_Barlock & @jayasimha78 **

My house is near to two beaches one is famous JUHU BEACH & VERSOVA BEACH they both are pride of Mumbai because many movies shoot are done here. Tourists when visit Mumbai come to these beaches .

It’s been 27 years I staying here saw much difference I my self after marriage used to often go on Sunday to verosva beach at picnic spot sit on rocks for hours & watch sunset couple come sit on rocks… When daughter was 1 year she would play with sand or do horse ride, she was fond of Juhu beach which is always crowded she would love to go there, because there were different rides for kids , giant wheel. Food stall, that time I used carry bag with water bottle,& snacks . From childhood I used to teach them throw wrapper in dustbin. Even in school I used tell kids when ever you got out always carry water bottle & your Chip’s, Biscuits, chocolate in your tiffin… By chance if you take packet after eating throw in dustbin… From childhood we should inculcate such habits in our children.

I always carry my Tupperware water bottle in my purse when needed I can refill it.

My water bottle, now will carry blue one.

It is duty of us to keep our beaches clean because they our country pride.

Here many volunteers work hard on Saturday & Sunday go to beach clean it, due to lock down beaches are clean but recently when heavy rains were all plastic wrappers, bottle came back to shore.

Here are few photo school kids cleaning beach after Ganesh Chaturti even I was associated with NGO in 2013 we used go for beach cleaning

I feel happy my school kids remember what I taught them. I used to tell them do let me know when you do good work. In may a student send message they work on project on collection of recycle, reuse water bottle. School were closed but still they could do it. They had kept big box in that we have drop empty plastic bottles. I felt blessed when kid do great work for environment.

Good evening @RosyKohli

A wonderful post and noble work about cleaning the beaches in Mumbai.

On a personal note, however, I am against having our children cleaning the beach from the dirt that some irresponsible people have made.

This is definitely not a pleasant experience for children in my opinion.

Spreading awareness about clean beaches and also teaching children good cleanliness habits is OK but the actual cleaning work should be best left to the municipal corporation who can get it done from paid employees.

This is purely my personal opinion which is not in anyways to say that your work is not great - it is really great and a salute to your spirit for community services
